All the disadvantages and risks of speed

The winter season is coming to an end and, thanks to the various presentations of my toboggans made in different areas, I am obliged to make some considerations relating to the speed with which I was transported as a 'fake injured': on some occasions we reached and exceeded 50 km/h!

I would like to start by saying that, as can also be seen from this site, as a manufacturer of toboggans which are objectively safe thanks to the braking system, I am a very strong supporter of the importance of going slowly when transporting the toboggan, especially if with the injured person on board.

For this purpose, always as a manufacturer, I prescribe the speed limits allowed during the transport of the toboggans produced by Safelab Srl.:

6 km/h with injured person on board

12 km/h with no injuries on board

These speeds are partly defined based on the reaction times of the electromechanical brakes mounted on board the toboggans, but mainly I consider them important in order to preserve and not worsen the conditions of the injured person during the transport itself.

I extend a cordial invitation to those operators who prefer high speeds to calm and safe driving, to reflect on the following:

  1. a toboggan with an injured person on board weighs on average 100 kg: this toboggan which impacts at 30/40 km/h of speed, produces a quantity of energy equal to approximately 5000 Joules: imagine the effects that so much energy can produce on anyone who is unfortunate enough to having to deal with it! (5000 Joules are the equivalent of a weight of 540 kg falling on your foot from a height of one meter...!!!)

  2. a toboggan launched at 30/40 km/h produces such a quantity of vibrations and jolts as to cause completely gratuitous pain and suffering in the person being transported!

  3. a toboggan launched at 30/40 km/h produces in the person being transported an emotional state of agitation such that it can, in some cases, aggravate the clinical picture of the injured person.

  4. at this speed, the conductor or conductors are so busy managing the toboggan that they neglect the evolution of the psycho/physical state of the injured person, consequently delaying any intervention useful for controlling and intervening with actions aimed at improving the situation.

  5. at this speed the risks of breakage or failure of the materials increase exponentially, consequently putting the good result of the transport itself at high risk.

  6. at high speeds the possibility of avoiding any inexperienced skiers who cross the direction of travel becomes considerably more difficult. also contributing in this case to the risk of accidents with important consequences.

  7. finally, the image that is conveyed by driving the toboggan at high speeds is not that of the super man or super woman, but rather that of people who love risk at the expense of the poor person transported who is unable to defend himself from such a situation of suffering.

At this point I would like to be able to receive elements from you that can in some way dispute what I have stated in order to highlight what I have mistakenly considered.
